I am is a human rights worker and lawyer based in Sharya, a village near Duhok in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. He has been actively involved in assisting internally displaced persons (IDPs), particularly from the Yazidi community, who have been affected by ISIS attacks. In 2014, during the ISIS onslaught, he managed informal registrations of IDPs in Sharya, focusing on identifying orphans and those separated from their families.
