Overview
About Me
I am a 28 year old male living in the United States and I am looking to Couchsurf in El Salvador! Last year after getting let go from my job in May, I decided to fulfill my lifelong dream and spend 6 months backpacking Southeast Asia. I was in Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and Malaysia from June-December and I used Couchsurfing extensively throughout, and now I am looking to do the same in El Salvador. I will be in your lovely country from May 3-16th and would love to view your land through the eyes of a local. ¡Estoy intentando aprender español y me encantaría practicar contigo! It would be an honor and privilege if you could assist me in my journey.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The same way that scientists state that the universe is infinitely large, vast, and never ending, I believe that the human experience on this Earth is the same way. I believe that everything in life is on a spectrum and as an individual we as people can only experience but a small fraction of it. I am a Pakistani born and raised in America. I spent nearly all my life growing up and living in a small tiny suburb. That is but a tiny fraction on the vast spectrum of human experiences on this Earth, and my goal in life is to experience as wide a range on that spectrum as possible. The only way to do within the company of other people. I want to be able to sit with people all across the world and listen to them, laugh with them, cry with them, and learn about what it means to be a human being across all around this wonderful place we call Earth.
Interests
My favorite hobbies are visiting art museums and watching old movies! I’ve watched everything from 1920s silent German films to almost all of Akira Kurosawa’s movies. I also love dancing bachata and salsa and would love to go dancing with you!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music- I've recently started taking Bachata and Salsa classes so I've been listening to a lot of music from both genres. Romeo Santos, Aventura, Prince Royce, Marc Anthony are heavy on my playlist now.
Movies - I am a huge old school and foreign film nerd. I have a particular love for Japanese cinema. My favorite director all time is Akira Kurosawa. I also have a deep appreciation for Andrei Tarkovsky and Ingmar Bergman films as well.
Books - I am currently reading the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Battle Royale by Koushun Takami
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona Spain in 2023!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach- I've been taking bachata and salsa lessons in the United States and have developed a real love for it. I would love to teach you some steps.
Learn- How the locals in your city live their life on a daily basis. Away from tourists, Instagram, Snapchat etc.
Share - Laughter, our hopes, dreams, fears, and the secrets only our hearts know. I can also help you learn and practice your English if you are interested.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My crazy experiences traveling the worlds and all the stories about the friends I made along the way. I've befriended two 50 year old women in Hawaii while hitchhiking. A world traveler from Nice while I was in France. I spent a month volunteering at the first ever hands-off elephant sanctuary in Thailand.
