ABOUT ME

Hm well I never know what to write in these things! :) Well, let's see. I am a nineteen year old girl living in Baku, Azerbaijan. I work as a Personal Assistant in a large phone company here in Baku. Most of the time I have difficulty staying in one place. I want to be everywhere and do everything! I love being physically active, I do a lot of aerobics, swimming and sometimes running (but running is boring without a friend so I don't do it quite often). Exercising makes me happy so I try to do it all the time.

Being so physically active I have to eat a lot. I love different food, I try new things all the time. If I'm in a different city I try to eat as much new things as possible. I also love cooking and do it quite well, sometimes I spend half my days on www.kuking.net (a recipe site) where I gather different recipes from the world and cook them on the weekend. Usually in Baku it's not easy to get hold of different ingridients for other cuisines but we have a great little shop called CitiMart which stocks almost everything I need for my little cooking adventures.

I haven't really travelled that much in my life but I would love to see so many places! And if I could, I would spend there more than a week (at least a month) because I don't want to see the new places through the eyes of a tourist but I want to really settle and see how things are done there, how people live, what they do for fun, what they eat, etc.

I love nature with a passion! I am planning to go to Bulgaria for a month to study but I will have a few days off and if I find any buddies I would really love to go hiking to Vitosha mountain!

Most of the time when I meet a new person I can always find an interesting topic to talk about! I don't get embarassed when I meet new people and I can chat, chat and chat so you will never feel that 'awkward silence' :) Of course, maybe I talk too much but that's for you to decide when you meet me! I work 5 days a week 9-6 but if somebody wants me to show them around Baku I will happily do so after work or on my days off!

I really love meeting different people I can learn from. I ask a lot of questions, so be prepared! :)

WRITTEN NOW:

I decided not to delete my previous profile as it would be much easier to just add information in a new paragraph :) Well, a lot of time has passed but I am still the same fun, sometimes dangerously crazy and people-loving person as I was in Baku. But I have found a new quality in me now - commitment. I have decided to go after my dream of studying medicine abroad and after a lot of time, sweat n tears I became a medical student at one of Charles' Universities (the oldest and most prestigious in the country).

As I am sure many people can imagine, medicine requires diligence and constant studying but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy my life just as much (if not more) as I did in Baku. In less than a year, I have travelled to most major cities in the Czech Republic and I know the Czech train system so well that sometimes I feel like I was born on one of the trains :)

Czech Republic is a great country - in short, just come and see for yourself and I'll be happy to show you what I can ;)

PHILOSOPHY

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Before I lived in Baku and enjoyed giving tours around my city.

But now I live in Pilsen (actually I have just moved there) but I already know quite a lot about it, so contact me for a tour around the city, a cup of coffee (or beer?! it is the capital of beer after all!) and a good chat ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, my sister is registered on this website and once there was this French guy called Wim who was travelling through Baku... We met him on Christmas Eve after work and had a coffee and the most interesting and insightful conversation ever! He was a very interesting person, I am hoping I meet many more people like him.
Ever since I have met and enjoyed the company of many more couchsurfers all around the world but have been inactive for a year due to hard studying. But I am ready to participate, see and be seen again!

Sports, painting (I don't paint that well but I have a crazy imagination so I am always full of ideas), nature, hiking, healthy eating, meeting interesting people from around the world and learning new languages...
