Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
All I want to provide a comfortable and safe space for visistors and community members.
ABOUT ME
My name is Jordan Liss and I live with Grant Van Horn and Jon Wilson in Del Mar. Our life motto we currently hold closest is Margaret Meadâs quote, which reads, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." And so far that quote has propelled us to devote our lives to hiking, biking, surfing, starting backyard gardens, fixing bicycles, fixing motorcycles and building house projects or taking the path less ventured.
A bit of context about ourselves we all currently go to or just recently graduated from the University of California of San Diego. Now we moved a little farther away from campus for our last year, but we ended up in a beautiful big house with tons of parking, backyard space and beach views from every room. =). We welcome you to join us!
PHILOSOPHY
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” (Margaret Mead)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Jordan Liss never signed up for the program in the beginning, but after housing two amazing girls from Europe as a favor for a friend it changed our view of the program. We really enjoy the program and the people drawn to the program. As a result we made a real profile so we can continue to participate in the program =].
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We couch surfed two girls from Europe as a favor for a friend for 4 days. It happened to be one of the best 4 days of our Spring Quarter: We showed them around campus, caroused and ventured to the beach whenever we got a chance. Since then we have hosted a traveling British film maker, a group of Polish students, french tourists, Israeli travelers and swedish crazies (who in the their free time are guacamole enthusiast).
Interests
We bike, run, swim, garden, surf, venture, build and enjoy going on urban and wilderness adventures.
