ABOUT ME

Where do I begin? I'm trying to live a good life. I love my extended family, but I've learned that I can live at a distance from them. With the Internet and occasional visits, it's easy to stay close to people.

We got married in March 2012, and are starting our life together...

PHILOSOPHY

I'm not sure I really have a philosophy. The best I can do is to say that I want to be good to people and make the world a more peaceful place. To do that, we need to slow down, give of ourselves and take the time to understand people from different places/cultures.

Jason's COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly, I've done this with friends I already knew. I couchsurfed with friends in Paris (spring 2005) and in Michigan (USA) in summer 2005. I can honestly say that they are all still my friends after all that! *laugh*

I had a great CouchSurfing experience in Jerusalem! In the U.S., I couchsurfed when I first moved to New Hampshire and then a couple of times in Mass and NYC since then. I hosted a bunch of people while living in Egypt, New Hampshire, and Lancaster (PA).

Janae's COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCES

Started hosting travelers in Lancaster in 2012 and then tried it while traveling in 2014. Had some great experiences in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

Blues is my favorite type of music, especially British and live stuff in Chicago. I guess I'm "into" movies that have a good message or that can make me laugh. My list of favorites is too long even to begin! But...I think Princess Bride is somewhere at the top.
