About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To cultivate, practice, and inspire kindness, compassion, and non-judgment towards and amoung others.
PHILOSOPHY
I am a true believer that time is of the essence and that as long as I have the desire and the ability, it should be my primary responsibility as a human being to make the most out of every day. This means taking less of what I have for granted, finding new ways to bring happiness into every moment, building relationships that are deeply valued and significantly meaningful, and letting go of the things in life I CAN'T change- even if this means sitting uncomfortably with "uncertainty" and "lack of control". My deepest aspirations are rooted in affirmative grounds, and so it is through intention that I have sought to generate my focus towards greater nourishment of everyday human connections and meaningful relations with the faces and places in my life that matter most. As difficult as it may seem at times, I think that we all have it in us to dig a little deeper, strive a little harder, and find the strength within ourselves to entertain a more critical mind and a more thoughtful way of living. We only get one shot... so I think that we should do our best to do it right; "right" being relative to one's own subjective manifestation. It is important to remember that believing in something inadvertently means accepting the scrutiny that accompanies those beliefs; it means being able to adequately provide the justification that is assumed to be an inclusive part of standing behind them. In otherwords, be ready and willing to stand behind what it is that you say or be willing to accept the scrutiny that dwells in your ignorance. I think that many people blindly believe without critically assessing what it is that they are accepting as "truth;" and then there are those who delicately decide what to believe in, but fail to live like they mean it. Personally, I hope that people come to recognize what it is that I believe in by simply witnessing the way I arrange and orchestrate my life. I think that we should concern ourselves less with what others think and more about the ethical nature by which we individually choose to conduct the course of our lives. Just as it important to use reason when choosing our words, it is equally as impressive to exercise legitimate rationality when deciding upon our actions. Practicing wisdom means willingly choosing to keep an open mind to the ideas and beliefs of others without needing to occupy and dominate conversational space with tyrannized debate. Because have you no mistake, finding truth in every statement is an equally as admirable challenge. Living life, means more to me then just living for myself. It is through the coursework of my life that I hope to convey sympathy and love in the interest of others by serving the potentiality that I have to stand for something, to serve myself and help others, and to find new and creative ways of appreciating the youthful and vibrant life that I have been given.

Interests
Rainy days, stormy weather, the sound of wind, the feeling of sand beneath my toes. Illuminating darkness with the light of one candle, capturing the essence of a moment in a photograph, reliving the beauty of a memory, hearing history through the story of another, surrendering doubt for the sake of love, living in every moment, embracing every misfortunte, and recognizing every opportinity to take a stance, to speak my peace, to say what I mean and mean what I say, to just simply BE HEARD. I love finding a reason for the sake of running or the idea of taking the world and making it something of my very own. I find myself engaging in random conversations and attempting to partake in the expression of creative ideas. I find joy in witnessing the kindness of others or sharing with someone in a difficult or personal moment. I am excited by words and ideas that influence facial expressions. I love trying to understand awkward moments or appreciating the difficulty of uncomfortable silence. I whisper just for the sake of whispering and enjoy uncontrollable laughter. I love the feeling you get when you understand something for the first time or the feeling of not understanding something at all. I love the excitement of discoverance. I find myself making up words that are completely useless, interupting the silence of a studying student to discuss political change, going out of my way to infere with the habitual cycle in which we all live our daily lives, writing random notes to people I've never met, and getting lost just to find myself. I seek to find meaning in the smallest and most insignificant aspects of life, to escape in the radiance of yet another beautiful moment, to hear the perfect words at just the right time, to find true friendship, to show appreciation to those who have given me life, to congradulate those who deserve recognition, to appreciatiate the work of others, and to seek the truth above all else. I'm living with purpose, searching for meaning, valuing my dignity, holding on to hope, challenging the adversity of negitive thoughts, showing compassion to those who have been neglected, inspiring generosity amoung others, listening with the intent to learn, attempting to overcome ignorance, forgiving those who have let me down, mending old friendships, learning from past mistakes, breaking bad habbits, building new dreams, learning to let go, exploring creative thoughts, promoting kindness, practicing persistence, continuing in my search for truth, maintaining an expressive spirit, and possessing the amount of passion that it takes to make a difference. I look for beauty in every moment. I search for truth in every answer. I admire those who are receptive to change, who openly seek growth, and who don't shy away from the opportunity to learn something new.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy listening to a wide array of music, mostly easy listening, classical, soft rock, jazz, folk, indie, acoustic, and anything else that is relaxing.
Some of my favorite movies are Into the Wild, Way of the Peaceful Warrior, Crash, Shawshank Redemption, Fried Green Tomatoes, and Pay it Forward. Overall, I really enjoy movies that either distract my thoughts or inspire change.
I enjoy reading philosophy, History, travel, spirituality/metaphysics, and many other uplifting and motivational books. I appreciate books that challenge traditional thought and instigate the creation of new mindsets. I appreciate anything that is written with the intent to make a person think beyond the surface of our daily lives. Just a few of my favorites include: The Power of Now, The Way of the Peaceful Warrior, A New Earth, Pedagogy of the Oppressed, Eat.Pray.Love, One Dimensional Man, and Spiritual Liberation.
