I am a Canadian woman full of excitement and energy! I have been wanting to commit to traveling the world for over 10 years and I am finally making the leap with my absolutely supportive and loving husband Ryan! We have been married for 2 years in August and have decided to take a HUGE leap of faith and leave EVERYTHING we have and travel the world for a year. We are leaving our jobs, apartment, car, family, and friends and backpacking around the world at our own pace. Saying it out loud was terrifying at first, but the closer our departure date gets the more excited we are! So please, join us on this journey and be a part of our exciting next chapter! Other things about me are...I love my family with my whole heart, I love cats and dogs, I love trying new foods and I enjoy cooking new foods! I love adventures and hiking to see glorious picturesque views that can only be painted in my mind because my camera could NEVER capture something to beautiful! I love singing and meeting new people. I have a huge heart and want to share it with the world by volunteering in locations to build, learn, educate, and excite communities!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are couchsurfing because we want to experience communities from the eyes of the people who live there. We love the traditional "touristy" spots to visit, but those places are only hitting the surface with me. We want a deeper more meaningful experience like living like the locals, eating like the locals, walk where they walk, go to the grocery store like they do... we want to live and breath culture and traditions wherever we go. We want to celebrate their festivals and partake in as much as we can! Couchsurfing allows us to meet people who are like minded and want to meet other people from all over the world!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to listen to Indie Folk music. It always seems to put me in a great mood! I also love listening to musicals like "Hamilton," " Phantom of the Opera," "Les Miserables," "Wicked," etc. I love fun upbeat music that I can sing and dance too! I also love drum and bass!

Right now I am really into "Based on True Events" movies like "Dunkirk," "Hacksaw Ridge," " The Zookeepers Wife," "Titanic" etc. I also love romantic comedies. I have been binge watching "How I Met Your Mother" for the last few weeks and I LOVE THIS SHOW!

When I do read, I like to read fiction like the Harry Potter series, The Hunger Game Trilogy etc. I read more travel blogs than anything! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have climbed Tromdalstinden (the most sacred mountain) in Tromso, Norway! Even though it took me and two friends a whole day to climb and come down, words cannot describe how absolutely incredible I felt for accomplishing this stunning mountain!
