About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Cairo to Cape town by bike, trying to save the cash and build resolve!

ABOUT ME

I've been described as a cold-hearted realist and a smiling romantic. Most people say I can't think something without it being written across my face.

PHILOSOPHY

Take part and lead by example in your actions and opinions. Think optimistically trust and be trusted. If it all gets too boring raise a little hell.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a selfish couch surfer, for me it's about getting to know people in the places I travel to. I'm often moving around too much to host and I feel bad about that!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have next to no coachsurfing experience so far but the more I look at it the more it seems like an innovative and responsible way to travel. After all a place is just scenery without the people.

Interests

I like climbing big walls and trees and buildings or boulders or anything really. I like diving because it feels like your in a completely different world. I believe change is made through small groups not large organisations. I'm a classical violinist but love the oppertunity to play with anyone. I love reading philosophy and writing about nothing in particular. Finally I like building fixed bikes and cycling them very fast around big cities with no brakes. If anyone can take me to a velodrome please do!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saw a friend hit a small bear with a hockey stick, before you judge it was stealing his apples and it was a long long walk back into town for more apples.

Crawled off a mountain in Mexico with a two inch cactus spine lodged in my muscle under the skin by the light of an ipod (thank you Mr Jobs) only to be shot at by rabbit poachers who, realising their mistake piggy backed me into town to get drunk and wake the doctor up.
