ABOUT ME

I'm a laid back, easygoing guy from the Chicagoland area. Lived in Chicago and the burbs though currently back out in the burbs. I love to travel, particularly anywhere warm with a beach though alwayss up for hitting cool new places. I love food and trying new restaurants. Lesser known dives and hole in the walls are my favorite. I'm 420 friendly. I'm soon going to be self employed, started my countdown already. Once I have a bit more freedom plan on doing a lot more traveling both inside the US and out. I'd love to do the route 66 drive and maybe a cruise round the country in the comming year or two. I love movies, huge movie buff. I love to travel and be active but also need to be a homebody and relax every once in a while.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been lurking on the site for a while and finally decided to join. I've yet to couchsurf or host a couchsurfer from this site however years ago before I even knew what couchsurfing was I used to do quite a bit of couchsurfing with friends and friends and friends and acquantances and visiting people I met on travels.

I'd love to host some couchsurfers however since I moved from Chicago to the burbs public transportation isn't quite as accessible and there's not quite as much stuff to see so havn't had any requests yet, happy to host if anyone's in the area though.

If you just need a place to crash that's cool although if you'd like met to take you around, show you around, hangout, enjoy a meal, a few drinks or a smoke that'd be great as well.

As far as me couchsurfing I'm somewhat limited by vacation time in my travels but would like to check out new cities and take some roadtrips to nearby states on long weekends this upcomming year.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A few years back I used to do alot of couchsurfing before I knew what couchsurfing was. Traveling to music festivals staying with friends and freinds of freinds. During college I did quite a bit of couch surfing as well crashing with friends and friends of friends while traveling. I love visiting people I've met on travels

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies, watch a ton of movies. I'm a big fan of documentaries, have seen pretty much every documentary on Netflix.

Music, I listen to pretty much anything and everything. I love Jambands, Blues, and Country but listen to a little bit of everything.

Books, I love reading, usually go through a few books a week. I pretty much only read non-fiction. Biographies, travel books, books on sociology and different people, true crime, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love Jamaica. I think the whole island is amazing. I tend to find a place I like and keep going back. I've also done a fair bit of traveling around the US but still have a lot I'd like to see.

Teach, Learn, Share

I always like learning about other people, where other people come from, how other people live. I'd like to travel more myself and hope to learn how and be inspired to do so by people on this site.

In addition to just seeing other peoples cities and showing my city to other people I enjoy learning about other peoples hobbies and interests and like sharing mine as well. Some things I'd like to try or learn about or experience would be kitboarding, sailing, glass blowing, and pretty much anything else interesting you do.

Personally some of my hobbies/interests are reading, writing, playing the ukulele, riding motorcycles, cliff diving and would be happy to show you or teach you those things. I also do a lot of consulting with ecommerce, blogging, social media, etc so would be happy to share that knowledge as well if anyone is interested.
