Overview
About Me
I am a current college student at Colorado State University studying Spanish, Biology and music. With these degrees I hope to go to Veterinary School and become a veterinarian in the future. I have always had a special bond with animals and cannot wait to work with them for the rest of my life. I am involved great in my school in clubs and volunteering, my favorites being Spoon University (a food blog where I am a writer and photographer), Spanish Club, Photography Club and Outdoor Club. My volunteering is mostly working with animals as I work at my local humane society, dog rescue and raptor center. Past these, I also love to be in the outdoors in my great state of Colorado, whether it be exploring and getting lost in the mountains or siting by a river, it all never ceases to make me happy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have always loved to travel, not only because I have constant wonderlust, but more because I have always loved to experience new things, whether it be a new culture, food or music it fascinates me beyond belief. As a result of being a college student, my money is quite tight, and the ability to travel and meet new people at a very low price just sounds too good to be true.
Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite music: Fitz and the Tantrums, Borns, Glass Animals, Beyonce
Favorite Movies: Footloose, Blue is the Warmest Colour
Favorite Books: Harry Potter, The Alchemist, The Third Plate
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I received my Eagle Scout in my late teenage years, something I strived for for about 10 years. For me, this symbolizes that I am a trustworthy, organized, and motivated individual and leader.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have become very passionate about food and how one can eat healthy and sustainable in their community. Moreover, being a vegetarian, I value animal animal welfare, believing that they too are living breathing beings that understand and feel.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My culture of outdoor living, human and environmental sustainability and my knowledge of the food world, all of which I love helping other to understand more.
