Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We've learned that you don't get a real feel for the place you are in unless you meet and get to know the locals, it's what gives you those truely unique experiences and separates authentic travel from being a tourist.

Hostels used to be great for meeting people, but lately it seems they are places where you can find lots of travellers looking down at their phones, uploading photos to show people back home what a good time they are having...

We love to experience new things and develop new interests so if you've got a passion be it a sport, craft, whatever, we are open to giving it a go and learning from you.
