About Me

I've always been adventurous but my favorite thing now is getting to know new people. I think I have some kind of empathic gift which I greatly value in myself. At my age, I've been around the block and few times and have discovered a few things that I really like, such as Rainbow Gatherings. I'm a devoted family man but find that I want more variety in my life, consistent with my marriage, but often on my own. I'm too fond of trying different restaurants, enjoy drinking on occasion, and was delighted to 'discover' couchsurfing which I'd heard about but never explored until this last weekend when I went to a Couchsurfing 'convention' picnic in Madison, Wisconsin. Most recently, my wife and I drove to Casper, Wyoming for the eclipse. Best vacation I've ever been on. Would certainly welcome the opportunity to correspond and answer any questions you might have.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm tired of staying at hotels and find the most rewarding experiences for me are the ones that aren't over-programmed. I'm possibly more open to letting the 'universe take charge' than the average guy, especially at my age. So, I'm hoping to make my life and those with whom I come in contact better- more interesting, greater variety, more opportunities.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Was instrumental in helping bring '40 days for Life' to Green Bay, WI.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've got a good ear and can typically write down the chords to a song or plunk out a tune on the piano. I'm also willing to admit that I know how to play the accordion. I love and collect jokes.
I'm a very good listener, I think. Pretty darn non-judgmental, possibly to a fault. I'd love to learn sign language- but there's a whole lot of things I'd love to learn. I'm pretty open to shared adventures, especially if they're truly shared.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could help cleanup, help with yard work, brainstorm whatever, give opinions about whatever, go out to a restaurant or drinking...
