Thanks for stopping by! Eight months ago I decided that it was time to stop working in the daily grind and start focusing on my passion, writing. Though the work I was doing, in home care-taking for developmentally disabled individuals, was fulfilling and taught me lessons I now find indispensable to my life, it also taught me that I have opportunities awaiting me elsewhere in this world that I have been gifted the chance to find. So I saved up and am now taking the better part of a year to write from the road. I will be crossing over every corner of Europe between 06/2018 and 06/2019, so if I ever pass by you I hope that we can meet up and learn about the world through each other's experiences!
**I will be in San Luis Obispo, CA until 06/05/18 and then between Syracuse, NY and NYC from then until 06/23/18. So if you're in the area, say hey!**
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I only found out about CS recently while doing research for traveling through Europe. The characters that I believe make up the colorful mosaic of humanity lie not in the hubs but rather on the fringes of a world they love, but do not often feel a part of. CS is one of the spokes that connects the many edges of Earth to each other and I would be a fool not to try and meet those already wanting to connect! I feel bummed to have missed the opportunity to host while living in Southern California, but I'm definitely looking forward to hosting some of you whenever I eventually head home, whether you are a couchsurfer I met along my travels who decided to venture out to my neck of the woods, or a new friend entirely!

Music, Movies, and Books
Film and literature make up the better part of my interests, so if you love to read or have an opinion on a movie we will have plenty in common! Multi-generational historical fiction really gets me going for both books (A Land Remembered by Patrick D. Smith) and movies (La Strada, directed by Federico Fellini; Giant, directed by George Stevens and based on the novel by another great author, Edna Ferber). For music, my playlists are usually a good bit of soul (Al Green, Bill Withers), but I would say my tastes overall are pretty eclectic. As long a song hits me in the gut when I listen, I can get into it. Two songs I'm into right now are "Picture Book" by The Kinks and "I Don't Know" by The Beastie Boys. I could go on for the rest of this bio about art or artists I love, so if these topics interest you, let's talk!!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hopefully a great conversation. I can also sew a little bit, so if you have a rip or tear in something I might be worth your time!
