Hey I’m James, a local from Sydney. I’ve lived in 5 countries and travelled widely. Speak English, Mandarin, Japanese and a little Spanish and French.

Love the beach, cafes, camping, snowboarding, hiking in national parks, sports, etc.

I’m a consultant advising companies on Asian market strategies. I work mostly from home, so if I host or meet up, I prefer weekends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing has been a fun way to have interesting conversations with new friends while hiking, being active in nature, chasing sunsets, swimming at the beach, sightseeing, tasting cocktails, chilling at cafes, etc.

I’ve learned something from everyone I’ve met on Couchsurfing so far and felt more inspired afterwards :)

***Update (Dec 2024-): Not intending to use Couchsurfing beyond Dec 2024, except for a few remaining existing bookings. Was a fun way to meet people for the past 18 months though, so thanks for the good memories.***
