Hey I’m James, a local from Sydney. I’ve lived in 5 countries for 10+ years and travelled widely. Speak English, Mandarin, Japanese and some Spanish & French.

Love the beach, cafes, good conversations, camping, snowboarding, hiking in national parks, sports, etc. I’m also into personal development, mindfulness & podcasts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing has been a fun way to have interesting conversations with new friends while hiking, being active in nature, chasing sunsets, swimming at the beach, sightseeing, tasting cocktails, chilling at cafes, etc.

I’ve learned something from everyone I’ve met on Couchsurfing so far and felt more inspired afterwards :)

Ps I only host occasionally when I’m not too busy with work. My primary motivation is language exchange with people who natively speak the languages I’m learning.
