About Me

26 years old, currently living and working in Bristol having been raised in Staffordshire.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In 2016, I undertook a 3 month road trip around the USA. I'd never used Couchsurfing before this trip, but the trip was so much better for me using it. Staying with friendly, local people meant getting way more out the trip in terms of socialising, learning about the various places I visited, and ultimately saving money at a time where money was tight. I'm still in contact with some of the people I stayed with years down the line, and I'm so glad I was able to utilise Couchsurfing both for the trip and for the chance to make long-term friendships.

Having benefitted so much from using Couchsurfing, I'd now love to give something back. Hosting is currently not the easiest task due to living in a small 1 bed flat with my girlfriend, but get in touch if you need any assistance and I can at the very least try and recommend a few bits and bobs to do around Bristol.

Interests

My main interests in life are fitness and music. I'm a qualified personal trainer and have played guitar since the age of 11. Other, less serious interests include languages (doing my best to reach an acceptable level of French speaking) and general outdoors activities (aiming to climb Ben Nevis this year).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Billie Eilish, Paramore, Avenged Sevenfold, and yes, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift.

Movies: Inglourious Basterds, Big Hero 6, The Lion King, The Departed, A Quiet Place.

Books: General non-fiction books centred around mindfulness, health, habits. Just finished 'Gut: the inside story of our body's most under-rated organ' by Giulia Enders and would 100% recommend.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling the USA for 3 months. It may not seem like the most extreme thing in the world, but it was my first and possibly last (hopefully not though) trip of this nature and I'll honestly never forget it.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, United States, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In
