About Me
Hi there couchsurfers,
My name is Terell Wilkins (I go by my middle name, James, because I like it exponentially better) and I'm a 23-year-old news reporter from St. George, Utah. I recently got a new car and have been using it a lot to get out of town and visit a few major cities on the west coast that I haven't been to yet. I graduated from Arizona State University a few years ago, but in my 3.5 years there I didn't take a ton of trips so now I'm trying to make up for it.
I'm a huge sports nerd as it's my true passion but I'm also really into stand-up comedy, binge-watching YouTube or making fun of reality TV shows while also (secretly, shhhhh) enjoying them. I genuinely enjoy meeting new people and having good conversations so don't be afraid to talk to me, I'm always down to make a new friend.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would like to think I'm a pretty relaxed and accommodating guest, but I don't really get to decide that haha. Either way, I just need a place to crash for my impromptu road trips and figured what better place to find a place like that than here! I'm always on my phone or have it near me so you can call me any time with questions or concerns you may have, I'm a pretty open book.

Music, Movies, and Books
As far as music, I really love mainstream rap and hip-hop music (Kanye, Drake, Kendrick, Cole, etc.) but I'm also recently into indie rock and indie pop music too so artists like Crumb, The Marias, Men I Trust and Triathlon are favorites of mine too.
I have been told I'm not a big movie guy even though I feel like I've seen a fair share in my 23 years. There's a lot of classics I haven't seen but Kill Bill, Back to the Future and Forrest Gump are up there on my list. I'm really big into Marvel and DC movies too so basically any superhero flick. Also, I know it's basic but I do love Pulp Fiction and most of Tarantino's work. I know he's not the best guy but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy his movies.
I used to read all the time when I was younger but with my job requiring so much reading, I have essentially stopped consuming books like I used to. I feel guilty about it and I want to get back to it but I haven't read a book that touched me in a while unfortunately.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Honestly can't say there's anything that qualifies as "amazing' that I've done but it's never too late to change that!
