About Me

I’m curious by nature and reflective by default.

I’m someone who likes to understand how things work — people, places, dynamics — and I tend to learn best through lived experience and conversation. I’m adaptable and comfortable in new environments, but I also value depth and sincerity over constant stimulation.

I move through the world observantly. I listen more than I speak at first, but when I connect, it’s intentional. I’m drawn to meaningful exchanges, shared ideas, and environments where there’s space to think as well as participate.

I’m independent and self-directed, yet I genuinely enjoy collaboration and being part of something purposeful. I appreciate calm spaces, honest communication, and people who are comfortable being themselves.

Travel, for me, isn’t about escaping — it’s about expanding perspective. I’m interested in how others see the world, how they build their lives, and what I can learn from being present in different contexts.

I try to bring steadiness, openness, and a thoughtful energy wherever I go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I’m more interested in people than places.

For me, travel isn’t just about seeing something new — it’s about experiencing how life feels from the inside somewhere else. I’m curious about the small, everyday details: how someone starts their morning, what conversations matter locally, what a place feels like after the guidebook closes.

I value meaningful exchange — not just a free place to stay, but the opportunity to connect, share perspectives, and learn through real interaction. Some of my favorite travel moments have come from simple conversations that shifted how I see the world.

I’m naturally reflective and observant, and I love hearing about other people’s journeys — what shaped them, what they care about, what they’re building. At the same time, I’m very respectful of personal space and routines. I can be social and engaged, but I also appreciate quiet, grounded environments.

Couchsurfing feels aligned with how I want to travel: mutual, human, open-minded, and rooted in trust.

I’m here to contribute to the experience as much as I receive — whether that’s sharing stories, helping out where I can, cooking together, exploring locally, or simply being good company.

For me, it’s about connection with intention.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lord of the rings is my all time favourite childhood film that I grew up on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchhiked from Swansea, Wales to Istanbul, Turkey.

No big plan, no fixed timeline — just a backpack and the decision to move east.

What I liked about it wasn’t the risk. It was the unpredictability. Standing on the side of a road not knowing who would stop — and then being pulled into someone else’s world for an hour or a day. Truck cabins, border towns, roadside coffees, conversations half in English and half in gesture.

You learn a lot about people when you share a stretch of road with them.

It forced me to trust my instincts. To read energy quickly. To stay calm in unfamiliar spaces. To be adaptable without losing myself.

There’s something honest about traveling at the mercy of timing and human kindness. It strips away control and leaves you with presence.

Arriving in Istanbul felt less like “I made it” and more like I had slowly stitched together a map of small human moments across countries.

I’d do it again.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m always up for learning something new — especially Spanish, which I’d absolutely love to improve while traveling! Whether it’s practicing a few phrases or just picking things up in conversation, I’m eager to learn.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’d love to share a bit of Welsh culture — whether that’s some fun phrases, stories from back home, or just a glimpse into life in Wales (yes, we really do love our sheep 🐑). I can also share travel stories from my journey, help out however I can, and hopefully bring some good vibes to your home!
