About Me
In early 2016 I quit my job and booked a 1 way flight to Australia. Haven't regretted it yet, trying to visit new places all the time and meet new people. I lived and worked in Melbourne for 8 months and now I have just completed my rural work in Victoria, Australia to get my 2nd year visa. I only have 2 weeks left in this great country and want to see as much as possible before i go.
I caught the travel bug in 2015 when i decided it was time for me to see the world and i went on a 5 month trip to South East Asia. It was a once in a lifetime trip for me, i got to experience such different cultures, cuisines, activities and met so many people. I will never forget that trip as it has fueled me to always find new places to visit and to experience different lifestyles.
After Australia I am going to India for a month as i keep hearing so many great things about the country. After my visit to India and a short visit home to see family and friends, i am going to fufil my dream of becoming a dive instructor. I will spend 3/4 months in Central America studying to get certified and then who knows what part of the world it will take me to next
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couchsurfing now because my last trips i have always stayed in hostels interacting with other backpackers and staying on the tourist trail but never interacting with local people as much. I want to change that and get to know people who live and work in these countries who can advise so much more and also hopefully make friends so i can return the favour and let people stay with me one day soon.
Interests
Some people say i am an 'adrenaline junkie'. I don't personally agree, i always like to do new activities even though i am usually terrified the whole time. Always willing to try something new. I also love to cook, especially if i get to learn about local cuisine

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a big fan of classic rock; Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones but i am a fan of most music types.
Snatch, fight club, lock stock and 2 smoking barrels are all great films
I try and read when I'm on the move but when I'm living in one place i do read a lot less. Jack Reacher books are a good read but wouldn't say i have any favourite books
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There's so many to choose from but meeting a Filipino rockstar in Palawan, Philippines and spending the next few days travelling with them was a personal highlight. I was involved in taking many selfies with locals and getting into cool places I never would have seen. They apprieciated that we didn't realise they were celebrities and treated them as normal people. It was a unique and unforgettable few days
Teach, Learn, Share
Everyone you meet knows something you don't. It always good to talk to people to get another persons perspective on life. I am trying to learn Spanish and always like to practice it, similarly if anyone just wants to practice English with me i am always happy to do so.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Always up for a good chat and to share stories. I am a clean and tidy person and try to not get in anyone's way. Will always be happy to help cook and clean. I like getting to know people whether it is staying in having a cup of tea (i am english after all), out for a beer or going on a trip somewhere. A new experience is always good to bond over
