Just a regular easy-going, down-to-earth guy who lives simply and loves learning from others. Good listener and enjoy sharing, loving and being loved.

NOTE: 1) Because of construction and parking rules I cannot host anyone coming by car as there is no place to park.
2) I generally don't accept visitors for less than two nights as one night just seems too much like a hotel stay.

Simplicity and honesty in everything, explore and not be afraid to try, listen to others, love, and find the best of new ideas and above all help others in whatever you do. Love is the best thing there is.

Good friend has had wonderful experience around the world with people helping out as hosts, so wanted to give back a bit as a host. Since then I have hosted so many wonderful people from around the world. It has been a true joy to make some special new friends.

Love outdoors in summer, beach, hiking, canoe, exploring the city, movies, classical music, and reading everything I can get my hands on. Good conversation about the world around us and the universe we live in over good basic healthy food and maybe a glass of beer or wine.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Any really good well made movie be it drama, comedy, sci-fi, or adventure old or new. Music before 1800, so everything from Gregorian Chant to Beethoven, with a special spot for Gabrielli, Praetorius, Bach, and the baroque. Above all I love good books both fiction and non-fiction. Love Robertson Davies, and anything that challenges you to think about politics, economics, religion, cosmology, history, love and life.

Visiting the ruins of an unrestored 16th c. abbey in the remote hills of Naxos - it was so authentic and oozed real history.

10 Weeks unplanned rambling through Europe where I found wonder and magic and the love of good friends.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I have taught history, science/math, literature and business/finance from grade 6 to university. Love to share experiences of travel and different cultures. Vegetarians are easily accommodated but I do not permit smoking or drugs of any kind. Can usually show surfers around the city and share some favourite places in and outside the city.
