ABOUT ME

2023: I tend to travel solo but like to meet up in groups. I do a lot of photography. And now I also work remotely.

Last year I did 10 months of travel, then 10 months at home and then now again a few months traveling around the Nordic countries.

Open minded and loves to travel and experience new cities. Go with the flow but also make things happen.

I'm English born in London (I know rare right), I've lived around central since 2000 so years and know the alternative scene very well here.

I contract in IT so manage my own time. Most people think I'm in a band. I don't tell them which one.

PHILOSOPHY

"I've now been to Berlin 5 times, but would go back to live there [didn't do that].

I'd like to see Paris again. But also explore Barcelona [spent two months there recently and a month last year] and Lisbon.

I wish to do another USA trip, it's been over 10 years now. [Still haven't gone back]

I'd also like to do an East Europe trip going up north and crossing over to Finland and Helsinki etc. [Hey guess where I am now;) done Oslo now in Sweden going to Finland 2023]"

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have friends that host. I like traveling and the people you meet that way, so thought I would try hosting.

Interests

I'll have to update these since I'm a little bit older and a little bit wiser, and the world changed. Some things became past tense 🙂. Hopefully some things are still to come.

I like to travel and the nightlife. I've been to lots of cities around the world and met many open friendly people.

I'm introspective and learnt about human nature and self.

But I'm also outgoing and like to party.

I'm more on the more alternative side; rock, grunge, 80s, electronic, ebm. Appreciates Classical, Jazz, and Blues now and then.

Books I'm more of a sci fi type of guy.

Movies the same but also like action.

I use to do a lot of gaming (steam) but not so much now.
Boardgames took over for a while.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being surprised.

2007 Travelling around America and meeting people in cities randomly, hanging out and getting a recommendation for a friend in another city. I met some really cool people this way and had the best time. Staying in a hostel making friends and taking a road trip with them from SF to LA.

2014 Spending 2 months in Berlin partying my ass off, and enjoying the clean air and wide open spaces and the people.

2021 traffic through Easton Europe two months in Budapest, month in Albania hiking, partying in rock places in Athens" 6 months.

Then another 4 months going Ireland then Spain; Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, then festival in Germany and time in Leipzig and Dresden, and Hellfest in Clisson for two weekends.
