About Me

I'm originally from Spain, but I'm half Spanish, half English... So Spanglish :). Apart from Spain, I've lived in Australia, Oxford, London and Vancouver. After 2.5 years in Canada I started to miss Europe so I'm back here, and looking to settle.

I've done a huge variety of jobs, including sales, driver, film extra and PA, English and guitar tutor, photographer and cheese specialist! But what I really want to get into is filmmaking.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Quite simply I enjoy doing different things, I like to keep things interesting and I always have fun meeting new people.

Interests

I have a lot of interests, including history, science, the natural world, cooking, languages... I like to spend my time traveling, taking pics, visiting museums, learning, playing the guitar and piano, drawing, trying to stay fit, playing squash and depending on location, diving and hiking.

Also really interested in paleontology, sharks and films.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy listening to movie soundtracks, piano and classical music (Ludovico Einaudi is one of my favorites!), world music, and when I'm being a bit of a nerd I listen to medieval/Renaissance/old Roman music to help me envision the past when reading about it.

Some of my favorite movies are The Tree of Life, A Clockwork Orange, Kon-Tiki...

I enjoy reading more factual stuff, like Bill Bryson's A Short History of Nearly Everthing and Andrew Marr's A History of the World.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving with over 13 different species of sharks in Fiji with no cage. Including bull sharks and tiger sharks!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a little bit about playing the guitar and piano, if you happen to have one, haha... You can practice English and Spanish with me, I know about cooking and photography, skateboarding and squash.

I'm open to learning any new skill, particularly looking to improve my Italian.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Honestly as of right, because I just arrived here I can't offer anything more than company, a friendly and respectful guest who's more than happy to help out with chores and cooking.
