ABOUT ME

well....we are a couple. I am an animal lover especially dogs, I am not a major party/club goer would rather a good concert or a night out playing snooker, I like spending time outdoors, and just chilling out with friends. Also like going to sporting events like rugby, hockey etc, and hunting through local markets for interesting handmade jewelry, and crafts.
Money (or the lack of) does stress me out a little.

My husband (James) is much more relaxed about money, which balances us out a bit. He is an Streets Manager (not the ice cream company, if you have that in your country :P ), he organises and places advertising on billboards in Auckland City, NZ. He loves golf and Games Workshop, which is a tabletop war gaming system. He is good at going with the flow and wants to sink into the local pace and pattern of where ever we go. As you can imagine his major downfall is planning what he wants to do when relaxing on holiday.

We are very new in the community and hope we will be able to participate on a greater level soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

At this stage we are CS virgins, but have heard great things about it, haha. Just went to our first CS gathering, it was cool, there were heaps of lovely people there, with all kinds of useful advice and experiences.

Interests

I love all animals, especially dogs, hockey (field hockey), tramping, horse riding, making jewellery, reading, having fun, anything new.

James is interested in tabletop war gaming, hockey, tramping, golf, teaching children (going to start training to be a teacher when we get back from UK)

Music, Movies, and Books

Love movies, will watch anything, apart from horror thrillers, I'm a bit of a chicken when it comes to them. Favourite movie would be Serenity.
I love books mostly science fiction and fantasy, Robert Jordan, Piers Anthony, and Mercedes Lackey, are some of my favourite authors. Must admit not overly interested in music, happy to listen to it but mostly listen to the local radio station. James will watch any movie, excluding the chick flicks. He is much more into music, but his moods change so there can be anything form hard rock to techno in his play list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far it would have to be swimming with the dolphins at The Bay of Islands. But I'm sure there are more great things to come.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn more about other cultures, jewellery making techniques, and what makes to world go round.

If you want to know more about your dogs behaviour I'm your girl, I have trained service dogs for the physically impaired, and I work with people who have issues with their dogs. Also I have basic skills in flax weaving.

If you want to learn how to cook James is more than happy to teach.
