I've just finished my second year at Cambridge University, studying French and Russian, which means now I'm embarking on my third year abroad. I'll be in Paris for 4 months studying, then the rest of the time I'll spend in Moscow doing an internship. During this time away I'm keen to have lots of diverse experiences, depart from my comfort zone, and hopefully become completely fluent in French and Russian. I'm up for getting involved in the couchsurfing communities of both cities, and also explore the surrounding areas staying with some awesome hosts.

Some of my favourite books are 'The unbearable lightness of being' and pretty much anything by Milan Kundera, War and Peace, Crime and Punishment (yet to read in Russian but I hope to do so one day!), 'For whom the bell tolls' and everything else by Hemingway, the 'Goldfinch' by Donna Tart.

My music taste is pretty varied and not at all specific: sometimes I'll really enjoy listening to some Arvo Part, but sometimes it'll be someone like the Black Keys that I'll feel like listening to.

Compared to everyone else on couchsurfing I feel very ordinary, but travelling around China on my own a couple of years ago for 7 weeks was amazing. I met loads of awesome people and experienced a completely alien culture to my own.

I love to chat not only about subjects I'm familiar with, but also ones I don't have a clue about: I'm always interested to learn new things! I'm clean and tidy, and always up for cooking a tasty meal for my hosts if they'd like. Then again, if you'd rather keep yourself to yourself that's fine too.
