About Me

Well, I suppose firstly I am very easy going. I always think that one of the worst things you can do in this life is to take it too seriously..

I've loved travelling for as long as I can remember and have been fortunate enough to see a good part of the world, but there is always so much more and I never stop feeling that itch.

I'm mad about live music and festivals, I'm crazy about sports and I'm never happier than when I can do either in good company. I'm always curious, always learning and always open to new ways of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To experience authenticity! Hotels and hostels are fun but also fairly generic. I want to experience things through other peoples eyes as well as my own.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a summer as a golf instructor/cabin counselor in an american summer camp. At the end of the 12 weeks my group of 40 or so kids had a big bonfire where they each got to stand up and talk about their summer and their favorite parts of it. 4 different kids stood up and spoke about how they had learnt to be patient, to be committed and to have belief and encouragement in what they are doing but also to others in what they are doing. At the end each 4 turned and thanked me. They had been talking about what I had thought them. I wasn't even sure they were listening but the feeling of making a positive influence on others became something of an addiction and one I would surely like to replicate as often in my life as possible.
