ABOUT ME

I'm 22. I'm a political junkie and I love travelling. I'm also a big music fan though due to prolonged lack of income my CD collection hasn't grown much in the last year.
I love driving and good food and play the guitar badly.
I wish my clothes from last year fitted me better.
I have a blog about the US Elections.
I'm friendly and outgoing and I love to meet new people.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short and don't like that but its a great motivator to get out and see the world.
I try to be friendly and generally try not to think very hard about social issues - it can make people a bit neurotic. So I'd liked to be called easy going in any situtation.
Politically I'm left of centre in the UK which probably makes me a God Damn Socialist in the US.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As long as I live with my parents I can't really offer any places to stay more than a night.

If I had my own place (which I desperately want) I'd offer any sofas straight away. Having travelled a lot myself I know hostels and home-stays often attract really friendly people and its one of the best things about travelling. Having that in my own house once in a while would be really cool.

Music, Movies, and Books

Wes Anderson movies, especially Rushmore and Tennenbaums. Also Annie Hall, Dr. Strangelove and Amelie are amongst my favourite films.

I love the Pixies, Bowie, Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade, Hendrix, Patrick Wolf, Velvet Undergound, Leadbelly, The Rolling Stones and The Knife.

My favourite book is I, Claudius and I also love His Dark Materials and Harry Potter because I'm secretly 10 years old.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've travelled on the Trans-Siberian railway from Moscow to Beijing with a few stops along the way. Pretty cool. Pretty freezing. We drove on a lake! Awesome.
