ABOUT ME

I am from the Northern 'warm' parts of England, I say 'warm' because you need some arctic skin to keep your body temperature normal! Some might say I am carefree, not too many worries and able to talk the blacklegs off a donkey whether it be constructive or utter pointless jargon. Oh, and I love a good joke.

I love the great outdoors simply been inspired by nature and the wild, speaking of the wild...Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer. A story of a young man who gave everything up to be what he wants to be. Most people would find this terrifying, giving all their hard earned material possessions away. This is why the story is so compelling to me. See if you can go a week without any of our modern day materials, challenging!

PHILOSOPHY

“Don't settle down and sit in one place. Move around, be nomadic, make each day a new horizon. You are still going to live a long time, and it would be a shame if you did not take the opportunity to revolutionize your life and move into an entirely new realm of experience.

You are wrong if you think Joy emanates only or principally from human relationships. It is in everything and anything we might experience. We just have to have the courage to turn against our habitual lifestyle and engage in unconventional living.

My point is that you do not need me or anyone else around to bring this new kind of light in your life. It is simply waiting out there for you to grasp it, and all you have to do is reach for it. The only person you are fighting is yourself and your stubbornness to engage in new circumstances. Careers are a 20th century invention and I don't want one.

兴趣

In no particular order (I feel like a game show host here), I do love to sit down and write about fiction and non-fiction, past, present and future.

Other non-sitting-on-the-couch activities I do are; Skiing, running, hiking, attempting to cook and any type of Comedy. I have completed Marathon Runs in Geneva and my hometown Seaham which I am uber proud of.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Viewing the world coming towards you at the speed of 125mph, Skydiving. Interlaken, Balmers.

An experience that I can cherish and I'd never want to draw the curtains on.

Well, coming from a flat area of England and travelling to the mountains, seeing snow and nature was as an aspiration of mine.

Been able to ski for the first time, been able to get a pair of skis and go for it! Go for it I did, nearly face-diving off a mountain without any lessons (Beginner skiers, get lessons or life insurance!) but with time and energy came the skill required not to fall but to ski down them and what a sport it is.

Last but not least (Game show host, again), meeting new people. Not as exciting but it certainly one amazing thing you can do. Been able to share and connect with people who like or even dislike the things you do and been able to converse. That's my spiel over.
