I do music, me! But have other aspirations. I'm a liberal singing vegetarian atheist composer. Who likes maths. I can cossack dance, but I can't dance. That was a really terrible description, but I doubt I can do much better...

PHILOSOPHY

Not to eat anything with a face. (Secular) Humanism sounds...sound to me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I'd like to get to know some CSers around Brighton and London. I don't have my own place at the moment, but when I do I would love to host other CSers, only providing they want to meet me too. I love what in life can be experienced and exchanged for free. Or at least, in a currency other than money. It's more fun that way!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I sleep remarkably well on sofas. Short ones are okay too, providing you don't have to dangle your feet. Not particularly profound in terms of experience, this needs to change I feel :)

Music, Movies, and Books

The more affecting, the better. It's what art was made for, wasn't it? Movie favourites read a bit too much like IMDB top 250, without the pre-1950s ones. Music: something strange, beautifully or originally crafted, or raw from the heart. My favourite Bs: Black Dice, Bach, Bartok, William Basinski, Beat Happening. I don't read anywhere near enough, but I'll read on recommendation and persuasion!

Teach, Learn, Share

I like that this box exists. I'll do a history of western classical music from Pythagoras to present day if you want! I might be able to help with musical technique if you're learning, but I can't promise how useful I'd be.
