Hello!

My name is Jamie and I'm currently studying abroad in Torino, Italy. I grew up in California, and attend university on the central coast at California Polytechnic State University. I love learning from others and listening to the people's stories and perspectives of their world. I believe that everybody you meet knows something that you don't!

I study Web and Digital Media at college, and make time to experience the world and its inhabitants. I'm very easygoing and love exploring and laughing and just being able to see the world and appreciate life. I love talking about space, art, the outdoors, science, society, history, and films. I love rock climbing both outdoors and indoors, and grew up swimming and playing water polo competitively.

I really love documentaries and reading/learning about history, the human condition, culture, and science. My favorite director is Christopher Nolan, and my favorite movies and books are the ones that really make you think and talk about important issues.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing Mt. Whitney (tallest mountain in the contiguous United States) in 16 hours, rock climbed up Tahquitz Peak in Southern California, camped around Iceland for 2 weeks, painting on Mont Blanc, cliff jumping in the Mediterranean Sea in France, hiked Cinque Terre, paddleboarding through a hail storm in the ocean in Belize.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to talk about subjects such as mountaineering, rock climbing, hiking, traveling, vegetarianism, graphic design, photography, traveling, and science. I have a deep love for the earth and all of its elements: the ocean, the mountains, the countryside, the citylife. I used to be a swim coach, and can also share my love for water with you! I also love to paint: I can teach you how to paint using my travel-sized watercolor sets and I also love to gift my drawings/paintings I create during my travels to friends.
