I'm a native New Yorker, but I recently moved to Barcelona to make a positive change and try some new things. So far I've tried many eccentric foods, talking to people I would never have met otherwise, and standup comedy! I'm loving the comedy scene in Barcelona, and I'm having a lot of fun going up each week and baring my soul to a crowd. I love theater, writing, reading, and sharing ideas... the more tired, tipsy, or comfortable I get, the deeper my conversations will be. I'm interested in philosophy, physics, and other ways of finding purpose to seemingly purposeless things. I also love exercising, meditating, and TRAVELING! I want to learn more about everyone everywhere, so show me the world and the people in it :)

I really want to meet people from lots of different cultures! I've traveled before, but with close friends in small groups, and we kept mostly to ourselves. Now, I'm here in Europe to try new things and meet new people. I also enjoy conversations about life and I'm curious about how people from other walks of life will think differently.

In addition, while I'm in a new city, it'd be great to stay with someone who knows the city, the hidden gems, and great things to do. Whether they would like to/can show me around or not, just some tips from a native from the city are a great way to get acquainted with it.

Movies&TV: Transparent, OITNB, Breaking Bad, Parks & Rec, Inside Amy Schumer, Key & Peele, 30 Rock, Friends, The Office, Jessica Jones, Master of None, Difficult People, Catastrophe, Harry Potter, Forrest Gump, Guardians of the Galaxy, any Judd Apatow movie, Annie Hall, there are a lot of good movies this is hard.

Books: oh my. I'm currently reading Sum and loving it. Past faves are On the Road, White Noise, Wicked, Harry Potters, Bossypants, Yes Please, Just Kids, Revolution, Rachel Dratch's book, Mindy Kaling's books, and books and stories by Miranda July, Donald Barthelme, George Saunders, Chekhov, Albee, and more. Oh and also Brave New World. And Shakespeare.

Hm. Recently, I've won two standup comedy competitions in Barcelona...my friends back home would find that amazingly shocking. But more importantly, I'd have to say directing the show for breaking walls this past summer with students from Cape Town, Palestine, Barcelona, Berlin, & Brooklyn in a 10-day intensive in Barcelona.
