Über mich

Hi There! I'm a young traveller from Boulder, CO.

I recently graduated from Penn State where I studied architecture. Right now I am in the midst of moving and settling into a routine at my new job, but once I'm established I can't wait to open my home to some fellow couch surfers!

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I like to travel and meet new people! My friends say that I should have been a tour guide for my hometown of Boulder because I love to introduce people to my favorite place in the world. :)

Interessen

I love camping, hiking, cycling, swimming and running (slowly). I also like to paint and draw... I really admire Jeremy Collins and wish that I could sync my interests as seamlessly as he does!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

My sister Lindsey is a singer/songwriter based in the Denver area, so I go to see her shows about once a week. I listen to just about any genre of music, but I especially love electronica and 90s R&B.

Amelie is my favorite movie, although I don't watch a whole lot of TV.

My favorite book is generally the one I just finished.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Perhaps the most amazing thing I ever did was cling to the side of a mountain for 3 hours waiting for the Rocky Mountain Rescue team to retrieve me. This may also be the most embarrassing thing I've ever done.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I enjoy guiding people on their first-ever high elevation hike. I've taken at least 6 people up their first 14er (that's what Coloradans call a peak with a summit that is over 14,000 feet above sea level), and I'm happy to say that several of those people have gone on to become very accomplished mountaineers!

Currently I am interested in learning more about top rope climbing, and canyoneering. I'm a total beginner in both, but I find them very fun and rewarding.

Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann

I love to meet new people and swap stories over a drink. I'll tell you my most embarrassing stories if you tell me yours! :)

I also have a small collection of PDF "travel guides" that I've made of towns I've lived in... They are just little descriptions of my favorite places in these towns, and sometimes a little backstory on the history of the place. These are gifts that I have made for my family and friends, but if you are interested in having a copy I would gladly share one with you!
