About Me

PROLOGUE
To avoid making a list of my qualities (real and imagined) and sounding like a job appliaction i'm going to set the scene a little...

The date is the 22nd of april 2017, I'm sat in my kitchen circling the drain of a hangover, and considering the nonsence that comes with this illness. This time next week I will be in Oslo, fulfilling a promise i made 4 years ago to visit a close friend for the weekend. Fearing the daily routine I've fallen into lately, and missing the company of people I dont already know, I've taken the week off work, decided to fly home from Copenhagen instead and see how much life I can see on the way there.

So if you're reading this then you may well be the first person to do so ...Hello, thank you, and congatulations, you've made a great decision. hopefully you will be able to help me, and be part of the journey to meet the strange and interesting people of Scandinavia.

ABOUT ME
(here's the job application bit)

I'm a friendly guy, I enjoy conversation, information, and debate on almost every subject, and always curious about the unfamiliar. I'm open minded and genuine, my only requirement is that you are the same, if you are then i'm sure we'll get on famously!

I like to create through painting and carpentry, and will probably be sketching as I travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

-It was recommended by a close friend, and one of the most fluent speakers of nonsence to strangers (without financial incentive) that i've ever met, and in my experience these are people you should generally trust the recomendations of.

-To see bits of the real world and meet the real people that live there. If all you've got to spare is a roof, a place to sleep, and a recomendation or two then that would be great, but If you can spare any time to drink, eat, walk, cycle, laugh and get deep in conversation then thats what it's all about.

-In the future I hope to host people aswell but it is not currently possible due to my living situation.

Music, Movies, and Books

-All the music that there is...
-Books about journeys that have really happened, about thoughts and theorys and the human condition, about life, death, and all the messy variety.
-Too many films to mention but The Big Lebowski, Pulp Fiction, and Waking Life are noteable.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once swallowed my own arm.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to dance like a 27 year old white british male human.

I can learn your name and your face, and as much of your story as you're willing to share, and if im alive in 10 years time I will still know it.

I can juggle more than 2 small objects at the same time (<4 small objects)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Just me ...the few things i know for certain and the many things I think about.

I was once told I have a 'good vibe' ...however I cannot vouch for the source, she did not look well.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, United States
