About Me
Hello! I'm a non-smoking American woman currently living in a small town in Ohio, after moving back last year to be closer to my family. Before that, I spent the past twenty years living in Boston, Massachusetts, where I studied English and philosophy at Boston College and worked for several nonprofit organizations.
I've also lived and studied abroad in Oxford, England and Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and love to travel and meet people from other countries and cultures!
I've always traveled very frugally, and usually stay at hostels (which is another great way to meet people from all over the world!) or stay in other people's homes in exchange for providing pet and house sitting. I just recently joined Couchsurfing, and am excited to meet new people this way!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd like to start traveling more often, both domestically in the US and abroad, and think couchsurfing would be a great way to save money and travel on a budget, while also meeting new people and making new friends!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was in my twenties, I moved to Amsterdam to live with a Turkish political refugee I had met online. The relationship didn't work out and eventually I returned to the US, but I enjoyed being an expat in Europe and have no regrets!
