Overview
About Me
I love listening to people's stories, though I can be pretty quiet when I'm meeting new people. I'll be loud and happily making an ass of myself in a small group of people once I get to know them or get a few drinks in me (or preferably both). Full on INTP.
I'm a programmer by trade, currently working for the wonderful Khan Academy trying to improve the education of the world.
I've had multi-month trips to Asia and Europe in the past, and am missing the adventure.
Philosophy: Your life is a collection of your memories. Possessions may come and go, but you'll always have your stories.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had great experiences meeting people of the world staying in hostels in Europe and Asia, and a few great experiences with Airbnb hosts, and it made me feel far more connected to the place I was than when I stayed at hotels.
Though I haven't had the chance yet, once I have a stable place of living where I can buy a couch, I'd love to host couchsurfers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This one time I balanced a chair perfectly on the corner of one of its legs.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you the very basics of popping, how to tie a tie (sloppily) in less than 10 seconds, how to dice an onion, how to cut a deck of cards with one hand, and probably a host of other isolated little skills that I have none of the surrounding experience for. I also know a few things about computers.
Especially interested in learning new physical skills (skateboarding, rollerblading, handstands, flips, sleight of hand), social psychology tricks, and new languages.
