About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be awesome and do something great!

ABOUT ME

Note: I am married, so technically you will be hosting or surfing with two. :)

But about me:
I'm just another soul on this journey we call life...

I'm making my way around the world one country and many jobs at a time.

Turkey was a fabulous 2 year, life-changing adventure: I stood at the banks of the Euphrates river, saw the cave where the prophet Abraham was born, wandered through ancient churches in the mountain hills of Cappadocia, saw the great mosques in Sultanahmet, ferried across the Golden Horn, cruised down the Bosphorous, drank wine next to the eternal flames in Olympos, stood on the banks and waded in the waters of the Black Sea, walked along the Aegean coast, and star gazed on the beaches of the Mediterranean...made amazing friends, and met my life partner/best friend/travel buddy/love of a lifetime!

Saudi Arabia was a trial of my sanity: a dusty, colorless prison. I learned how to value life's littlest freedoms and appreciate small daily joys--anything but easy. Though, we managed to make our own desert fun on occasion (mostly thanks to our steady supply of contraband).

The United Arab Emirates (Dubai) was visually stunning, though I felt it lacked depth. But I finally got to host some surfers. :)

Many adventures in store...

We're moving back to the US and setting up a home in Tucson, AZ. Stayed tuned!

PHILOSOPHY

I do what I want, and it's pretty amazing!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to meet new people from all over the world, and gladly welcome all to shared adventures, whether meeting up for coffee, or chatting through the night. My house is your house.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Once upon a time I had my own profile and interesting experiences via CS. I'm back as a couple for more fun, stories, and adventures.

Interests

Good friends, good food (vegetarian), and good wine make me happy. I like simple things, but that doesn't mean I am simple-minded. I am actually a very thoughtful, intelligent person who knows how to find beauty in life's little moments and simple adventures. I LOVE to travel and spend time outdoors, as I am always in search of adventure. I am disinterested in artificiality: malls, expensive cars, and amassing 'things' are of little interest to me.
