ABOUT ME

My name is Jamie and I am happy to meet you. After a 9 year hiatus from CS, I am eager to get back involved with the community. My husband and I are Americans living in Hungary and spend all of our free time traveling around or planning our next tour biking trip.

PHILOSOPHY
I believe in kindness and equal treatment. Without our neighbors and friends, we are nothing. It is important to respect everyone and build a strong community wherever you are because the smallest interaction can make a huge difference in someone's life! I also believe that it is important to respect other peoples cultures and beliefs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The concept of CS fits right into my personality. There are so many fascinating people to meet in this wide world, so I suppose my participation is being part of the community. My husband and I live in a studio apartment, so there is no privacy, but there is a couch and blankets!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In the 8 years that I have been a member, I have only had one actual Couchsurfing experience and it was great. It happened to be the very first few nights of my very first solo travel experience. My host was fantastic and so were all of her friends. Since then I have mainly used hostels and Airbnb for my travels, but I am looking forward to getting back into the CS community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done some pretty amazing things in my life. Things that I am proud of and that have molded me into the person I am today. So, picking the most recent, I went to the 2018 World Cup!

In addition to learning about others, I am interested in making an impact on those I meet. I am open about my life experiences and opinions. I hope that I can make as much an impact in the lives of the people who I meet as they do on me!
