I'm 51 years old and I weight 230 lbs. I am 6 feet tall and I am currently retired awaiting an operation on my right eye. I have my own apartment in Bridgeland; in downtown Calgary, Alberta. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There were times in my life when I had no where to go and no one to help me. I remember sleeping in ditches, under bridges almost freezing to death waking up under a picnic table when it was -36 degrees celcious and how badly I wished, hoped and prayed there was a site like this. Thank Jesus for all friends I had who did put me up and helped place me back on my feet. Where I could make myself a home and feel safe, comfortable and crash. I am financially set for life now and no longer have to struggle to survive but I let friends stay on my foldout bed couch or my extra mattresses and here are a constant reminder of how difficult life used to be.
