ABOUT ME

I live the dream working as Sound Engineer for a Reggae sound-system in the music capital of the world! I've lived here for 1.5 years, moving from Colombia after having an epiphany in the jungle - I couldn't be a happier man :)

I'm (apparently) a lovely Englishman; on a mission to return to the world what the world has given to me. I've been highly independent my whole life - lots of adventuring and wanderlusting. Now I try to focus on interdependence to influence positive change with equally passionate souls.

PHILOSOPHY

Life's not about achieving a predetermined goal, but rather it's the functioning toward the goal which is important. I'm all for riding the absolute limit in terms of living, as this is where I find real growth & learning occurs. To be able to share how I experience this beautiful line is my ultimate goal, ultimate happiness, ultimate peace & understanding - ultimate zen.

This is the authentic experience - a direct line to truly loyal locals. Its not some glossy tourist magazine cover, but the nitty gritty side streets of an overcrowded city. Fuelled by an intense desire to share experience with others, couchsurfing is a place of commune, of similarity, of wholeness.

BOOKS:
Favourite book: The Alchemist

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho gave me courage to trust my gut. While in Colombia, after many years on road, The Pilgrimage made me realise I had already walked the road. A very humbling experience.

Magicians of the Gods - Graham Hancock (latest ancient history research), blew my mind on the first page.

Worth noting is 'How we know what isn't so - the fallibility of human reason'. A great book if you want clarity in judgement.
