ABOUT ME

Hello there
I'm Josh, 24 year old student currently living in Genova - Italy
I have been studying architecture now for 4 years and still have one more to go! When i was 10 my mother and I - including brother and sister - moved to the U.S. where i stayed for 5 to 6 years, but besides that I've lived in Italy for most of my life. I'm always looking for something to do. I enjoy old fashion dinners in which people get to know each other, but i'm the kind of person that wants to hang outside and plain old see things. I'm very interested into music - play guitar and cajon; I have a huge urge of recording or taking pictures of sunsets, I play tennis, soccer, practice canoe in the summer time...

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because of my flat mate Adrian, he has hosted many, many couchsurfers in the last year or so that i lost simply count. And every time someone new comes it always creates positive energy.

Música, películas y libros

Musically speaking, there are way too many influential mixes to be able to pickpoint bands out - when it comes to music i think anything works in it's own way. As an autodidact I've been playing guitar now for almost 3 years, and i'm getting pretty good, especially because of the liberty in apprehending by ear. I dont know many songs, but i do have my own.

Favourite movie is Shawshank Redemption, without doubt.

Books is a hard one... I do like to read, but not a true reader. What i mean by that is I'm not attracted by books, I cant distinguish if I want to read that book or not, so I can never choose. John Grisham was a hit for a while... I like to read articles

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Well, i volunteer in ESN Erasmus Student Network here in Genova, and do many things with the students that come to study in this city. My personal favorite is taking them around the city center, in which I act as a tour guide, but really have to be one! It's fun, and what I like about it the most is sharing what this city really is to these students. By studying architecture i'm able to share what i know about this incredible italian city not just to some tourist, but a one year or 6 month habitant, i find it morally satisfying
