Moin, I'm Jan from Hanover, Germany. I just recently moved back to Hanover after living abroad in China for 1 1/2 years.

In my free time I play Padel and go Bouldering/Climbing as well as hangout with friends and grab a beer or two :)
After staying in China for a while I'm still trying to improve my Chinese.
I work mostly from home, so I can sometimes accommodate my couchsurfers timing wise, but in some cases I'm stuck in a meeting.
I do like to get to know the people staying with me and spend the time I have with them, but nothing is forced, as possible in your schedule.

I'm interested in your culture and your experience. As I have lived in 3 different countries and have travelled quite a bit I'm happy to share my experiences as well.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I never want to spent vacations in boring hotels and get to know the city with an organized standard tourist tour. I really want to get to know the culture of the different countries in this world and get to know the locals.

I think couchsurfing is exactly the right tool to do so.

Music: I like all kinds of music. Rock, Pop, Alternative, Country, Hip-Hop, EDM

Movies: I'm always up to watch a movie. I especially like intriguing movies that do not necessarily fit the norm. The stranger the better. One of my favorite directors is Tim Burton.

Books: I love to read. If its just for fun mostly Fantasy. I also enjoy reading some of the classics, like "The Great Gatsby", "Frankenstein" or "To kill a mockingbird."
