Hello!

My name is Jan, but I go by Honza - as is customary in Czech Republic (where I am from).

I would call myself very friendly, active and accommodating person. I appreciate a good conversation over a party and I really love forests, hills and anything that has some life to it. I believe that the best way to connect with people is through their stories and where is a better place to do that than on fresh air, surrounded by nature?

I come from a small village and now being in a very international environment has opened my eyes to the whole world. I love the idea of sharing not just a space but also stories, laughter, and cultural insights. My home is a safe space where, ready to make some new memories!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, traveling isn't just about ticking off places on a map - it's about understanding local perspectives, and forming genuine connections with people from all walks of life. I have hosted and been hosted by a few people outside of the app with some very positive experiences, which made me join here officially as well. Looking to meet new people and exchange life stories!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I have encountered was seing the northern lights and Santa himself, on the north of Finland.

There are also lot of cycling achievements that I am very proud of. Travelling on my own with a bike through the neighboring countries, collecting pieces of history - especially revolving around WW2, this region is full of them.
