I'm Jan from Germany and I just love to experience different countries, cities and cultures. I live in Berlin and work in IT (so maybe I'm a little nerdy).

Apart from a few minor trips in Europe, I did a couple of backpacking trips in the past 15 years, mainly to Southeast Asia, usually running more than 4 weeks, and mostly unplanned or only vaguely laid out. That's how I prefer to travel if my job allows me to do so.

If my destination provides warm ocean and reefs, I also like diving (I'm just a Open Water diver, nothing too fancy).

I like to watch and discuss movies, and I am an avid Pokemon Go player (I did mention that I'm a bit nerdy), which is, sometimes, also a unusual way to connect with other people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into a wide range of movies and TV series, love to go to the cinema but also to binge watch a good show. Prefer a well written screenplay, good directing and decent editing over megaboombang 3d special effects. My favorite movie of all time is Terminator II, and you might find that a contradiction to what I wrote before, but I can assure you it's not.
