Hi! My Name is Jan (which you would pronounce something like "Yun" or "Yan" in english), I live in the north of Germany and I'm currently doing my bachelor in multimedia production. I'd love to work in the field of Gamedesign in the future, and make learning more fun, especially in schools. Because, lets be honest, school can be pretty boring in most places (at least in the most places I know about), which it really doesn't have to, when learning can be so much fun. I love bouldering (which is basically climbing in low heights), and like trying new kinds of sports when have the opportunity. Also I'm always up for boardgames and Cardgames, I play theatre (although I’m not very good, but it’s fun) and I have great appreciation for puns.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it’s fun to meet new people and I love the magic of exploring new places, so why not combine the both? Also visiting some other country without talking to locals often feels kind of shallow, or uncomplete. Sure, architecture is also part of a countries culture (that you get to see while sightseeing), but the stories and the people are a way bigger part of that, at least for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This year (2019) I was backpacking in Thailand, Lao and Vietnam for a little bit more than a month, with a friend. It wasn’t amazing in the sense that it was some kind of accomplishment (in the sense that so many people do and it’s really not hard to do), but it was just an amazing experience for me and definitely left me craving for more traveling.
