I'm a young-at-heart 66, just retired and travelling is my passion. I'm treating myself to a long trip away next year, USA & New Zealand. I'm very sociable and love meeting new people. I am willing to host Couchsurfers at my house near one of the best beaches in the world, Three Cliffs Bay, Gower. (Look it up) It's 10 mins. walk away from me.

I don't have a large pension, so am economising on my accommodation as much as possible. Although I guess Couchsurfing mainly attracts young people, I fit easily into any age group. I also have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share , and I'm always learning something new, especially relating to digital media!

Reading, I belong to a local book club. Cinema and theatre. Music, especially blues, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell and too many others to mention.

I went to Zambia earlier this year, volunteering with schools and womens' groups there. I marvelled at Victoria Falls. Wonderful country and people.

English conversation, I am TEFL trained. Crafts, I studied pottery, knit, sew and crochet. I enjoy learning about other cultures and picking up some of the language. I aim to encourage empowerment of all people, young and old, and join pressure groups to help make the world a better place.
