I'm a 25-year old Architecture Student living in Delft. Although Architecture usually takes most of my time, I try and find the time to spend with friends, or at the student fraternity I'm in. Also, I work in a local restaurant about two days a week.

Like most people, I also enjoy relaxing at home. Relaxing might not be a great word though: I read books and watch movies, but decorating my room and sometimes making pieces of furniture is also a way to relax for me.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't really know if there's a purpose in life, and I probably never will. So I think we should just make the most of it, and try to enjoy the time we've got. And, more importantly, we should try and make the most of eachother's lives while we're at it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The reason for me to subscribe to the site, was because I needed a place to stay, but as soon as I understood the idea of Couchsurfing, I realised it's a really great way to get to know new people. I also really enjoy people staying over at my place!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed couches in Berlin and Munich, and I've also had some people over at my place in Delft. I really enjoyed both the surfing and the hosting!

Interests

Architecture, mostly. Dancing - Swing dances like Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa. Drawing, sometimes painting. Photography. Graphic design. Visiting museums. Reading and watching films, like most of you. "Hanging out" isn't really an interest, but I do enjoy that too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I've got an unexplainable love for pretty much every Pixar or Dreamworks animated film. They're so happy! Further, I like a movie that handles a touchy subject.

Music: lately, it's mostly electronic and/or indie music I'm in to. That includes YACHT, Junior Boys, LCD Soundsystem etc. Many rock/jazz/pop/etcetera tracks I enjoy too.

Books: although I've spent a few years of my life reading all the fantasy books I could get my hands on (R.E. Feist for example), I now pick those books I suspect to have a new way of thinking, a new kind of logic. I really enjoyed Johan Harstad's "Buzz Aldrin, What Happened to You in All The Confusion?" for just that reason.
