Overview
About Me
I work as an assistant teacher at a German primary school and study English and sports. Before I will finish my studies and start working 40 hours and more a week I would like to travel as much as possible :)
My partner and I just travelled around the world for a whole year and worked along the way. It's been an amazing time we will never forget: the people we met and caught up with, wonderful landscapes and sights, different cultures - and incredible food!
Now, back in Germany, I try to find time to journey around in Europe. Sometimes it's just for a weekend and super spontaneous, other times it's for a longer period of time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In 2012 I surfed on "my first couch" - that was in Taupo, New Zealand. A few other couchsurfing experiences followed quickly afterwards. Best thing about Couchsurfing: Meeting the locals and getting to know the area they live in from their perspective. The hospitality, friendliness, openness and trust was something that definitely inspired me. Why I'm on Couchsurfing? To experience that again!
Interests
Besides my job as an assistant teacher I worked as an anchor and presented a Friday morning show on a local radio station in Germany. I researched stories, recorded material and was responsible for the technical side of things. That was a fun thing to do for sure.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books by Dan Brown (e.g. Da Vinci Code ), Lee Child (Jack Reacher), Stieg Larsson (Millennium Trilogy), probably the Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins and of course (!) J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter.
I am not that much into movies but more into series that can be found on Netflix.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the best things I have done so far is hitchhiking. The friendliness and joy to meet and help people from all over the world is similar to the one given by Couchsurfing hosts and almost unbelievable! :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
My beliefs and values and my interest about education and sports. I would love to share experiences and stories made while traveling. I can show you how we cook savory pancakes (the best!) and lastly: I am great at sharing jokes (only have to learn them in different languages...).
