About Me
Hi, my name is Jana, I'm 36 years old and I live in Berlin, Germany. At work (as a press officer of a Berlin sports team) I got the notice to quit and my job ended at the end of June. I decided to use this situation to take a little timeout and travel before I search for a new job. It has been a dream for such a long time to see a small piece of the world and to improve my English. I am in the USA for more than 3 weeks now. I started at the westcoast. At the 29th of August I will drive to LA. Then I will travel through the area of New Mexico together with a friend. After that I will celebrate the wedding of a friend in Chicago, and then go to Florida and visit the Keys. The last stopp of my journey will be New York City, then I will go back to Berlin after three months.
I want to meet a lot of nice people, see the beautiful things of the country and improve my English. I can speak and understand, but it's not as good as I want to. I hope that it will be a great summer and I will come back with a lot of amazing experiences!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To save a bit money (because three months sleeping in Motels is bit too expensive and camping is not my thing) and to meet nice people and speak a lot of English :-)

Teach, Learn, Share
What I can teach? Maybe help with Social Media or teach German.
What I want to learn? A better English. And a lot about the country and the people.
What I want to share? My story and good chats.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Maybe I can cook or help with other things. The last year in my job I was responsible for Social Media. And I'm always ready for a beer (I'm German ;-)).
