About Me

ABOUT ME

I have lived in a lot of European countries as a child, I have been in France since 2001 and now I have decided to keep moving on. I'm not so much a backpacker, what motivates me is moving to a new place and starting a new life each time. That's just what i'm used to.

I speak several languages and I am on my way to Austria to improve my German. My intention is to either find work in Austria or use my new and improved german skills to find a better job than what I was doing before.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've only hosted two people through my own profile and haven't been hosted yet actually. One of my guests was able to host more people than I but I was always there to meet someone new, take them out and give them some ideas as to what they could do.

Interests

Music! Hard to live without music.

Languages, I speak five but I assure you it was mostly out of pure necessity although I do enjoy it. I hate to brag or boast about this kind of thing.

Skiing. I learnt how to ski in Austria so, the nostalgia is partly why I have decided to come back.

DIY stuff, when i'm not being too lazy.

People and their culture. Or cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Rather eclectic selective when it comes to music. Rock and Roll is my backbone however.

Any movie as long as it sparks some sort of emotion. That applies to the music I listen to, it's a criteria.

I don't read nearly as much as I would like to but I do appreciate american literature. It often has a flow to it, in the sense that it is easy to read but remains meaningful. I guess Jack Kerouac and Ray Bradbury are my favorite examples of that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing sand dunes in the Namibian desert near the coast, the silence and peace was overwhelming.

Diving in the Red Sea, I spent two weeks doing only that rather than lazing about on the beach. A great way to enter a whole new world.

There's been more and there will be more, no point in making a list, why not talk about it while having a good drink or cup of tea?

What I Can Share with Hosts

Practicing one of your almost forgotten language skills?

I also enjoy cooking and cooking for others. Ask me to prepare a meal and I will put some effort. My aim is that you have a good time.
