I live part time in England/United Kingdom, part time in Rhodes, Greece, with my husband Scott and 2 cats. We commute in a converted ambulance, [ now turquoise and called 'Ambience'] which doubles up as an art studio for Scott and a mobile physiotherapy clinic for me to work out of. The cats come with us. We are starting to explore all round Europe in the van on the way there and back.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are hosts on Airbnb, and thought that when our places aren't in use for paying guests, we should open them up for travellers to broaden our horizons with like-minded people who don't fit into the normal 9 to 5 pattern. So you may end up on a couch in an ambulance parked in a small Greek village, or in a North Yorkshire mining village, or in a proper bed in a house in a small North Yorkshire market town 5 miles from where we live [ Guisborough, TS14, UK]. We also hope to find places to stay in eg Venice, small French and Italian villages, Switzerland, Goa, Vietnam, when we are on our travels!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A hydrotherapy course in the Blue Lagoon in Iceland - you walk, cold, into the hot spring water through the snow, in the dark, at 10 in the morning, and treat patients and come out, hot, and sit in the snow in your swimming costume to cool down - surreal!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach - English, happiness, beach art, pain removal, steak and kidney pudding, beef stifado, massage, how to buy a used, cheap ambulance and turn it into a multi-functional travelling space with minimum experience or cost....

Learn - any language you have going! Where you live - the real stuff, not the big Buddhist temple that all the tourists go to - your local bar or market

Share - food, homes, experiences, laughter
