I am an English teacher living in Gangnam. I have been here since 2015.
I work at an academy for adults, and I really enjoy my job. I love being in Korea and spend a lot of my time experiencing the food, music, sites, nature, culture, history etc. I am always ready to explore new neighbourhoods and try new things.
I like to go hiking or walking; see live music; try different food and drinks. Love beer, wine and Makgeoli.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friends here are not always able (or willing) to go exploring with me, so after hearing that CS can be used just to meet up with people, I thought I would give it a try, see if I can find like-minded people to do things with.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite Music: the list is much too long. I like Rock, Pop, Classical, Blues, Motown, Korean Ballads etc. My all-time favourite song is Kashmir by Led Zeppelin. I like a lot of Korean artists and have seen a few in concert since I have been here: Nell, YB and Jeong Dong Ha.

I love movies - again too many to mention. Some I saw recently and really liked include The Revenant, Amy (Winehouse), The Brand New Testament (French, very funny). Strangely, I was not crazy about La La Land.

I teach a Book Discussion class, so I have been reading a lot lately. Just finished Room, and am currently reading The Alchemist.
