About Me

Hi! I'm Jane, and I always struggle to answer where I'm from.

My passport says I'm Israeli, but I grew up in Japan, studied in UK and often travel for work. Oh, and by the way – my work is my main passion. I work in healthcare technology (a startup focusing on cancer care) and in charity as a communications and content lead. I chose to pursue my career in these fields because I sincerely believe the world will definitely become a better place if we all do our bit about that.

Whenever I have some spare time on my hands, I love to dance bachata, drive my motorbike, learn languages and try new things (vocal therapy, drawing, karate, aerial yoga – the list goes on).

Always keen to meet new people to share experiences and have a great time discovering together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is one of the most fun way to meet local people in every place I travel to, and I travel a lot. I haven't done much of the actual couchsurfing, so hoping to rediscover more of its potential in the near future – this year I move around pretty much every few weeks!

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't watch too many movies, but I do tend to carry around a paperback book. Usually it's something that helps me develop my professional or creative skills, but I don't mind a good fiction novel once in a while.

If I do watch something, it's either documentary, or occasionally a Netflix series once every half a year.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, it's hard to pick one, but my favourite travel story is probably about how I danced bachata with a dropper in a Peruvian hospital!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can probably help you learn some basics of bachata or help you out writing engaging posts for your social media. Also I'm always up for language exchange!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a coffee geek, so I'll most likely find all the best specialty coffee shops in your city and show them to you. Same goes for bachata parties.
